Shabbir’s career has been an adventure starting with a degree in engineering in Metallurgy and Material Science followed by a Master’s degree in Computer Science. During his career, he has expanded his learning from being an Engineer to a Computer Scientist where he worked in Life Science Informatics (Bioinformatics), Machine learning, Databases, Data Warehouses and Artificial Intelligence among other areas. He worked in life science research along with scientists from Northwestern, Stanford, Berkley and Cold Spring Harbor research labs where he developed and utilized open-source tools and technologies to manage and analyze genomic/DNA data.
His passion for open source technologies and entrepreneurial aspiration led to the starting of Pragmatic Techsoft Pvt Ltd. Pragmatic is both a technology service provider and has many vertically focused products. This company works with both direct customers as well as partners to help them with their technology needs.
He has over 17 years of experience in technology and 10 years running a technology company as the Founder of Pragmatic which is a full-stack voice technology services and products company.
Heather owned her first company at age 22 and by age 23 assisted 7 other entrepreneurs in launching their companies. She was asked to talk to a large audience on how to develop rapid success in business ownership while inspiring others to rise in their success.
She sold her first business and began working in healthcare for companies like Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly & Co with her efforts focused on the rapid growth of their sales and sales teams. She was responsible for managing over 130 field sales and sales managers in the area of Brain Health and Sleep efficacy. Her team won the most awards for sales success. She was awarded the Summit Award for outstanding leadership. During this time she helped friends launch businesses in catering, construction, healthcare, etc. While she worked in Corporate she dreamed of returning to owning her own business.
She returned to business ownership by creating sale distribution channels for small to mid-size innovation companies looking to collaborate with independent distributors. She aggregated over 5000 products and services from various companies nationally and internationally into sales channels, while at times helping organizations to complete turn arounds, restructure, work with the government in public-private partnerships, and assisting with funding so a partnering company could effectively scale. She has a wealth of experience working with a broad set of products and services in several industries.
She has worked with several technological platforms and implementation projects with companies over the past 10 years.
Her passion is for excellence, impact, and growth.
Her education is always ongoing in non-traditional formats, she has completed Seth Godin’s AltMBA, Darren Hardy’s High-Performance Forum, Dale Carnegie’s Development Programs, etc. Traditionally, she received a degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in Communication Studies, focused on Mediation and Conflict Management.
